
Our five-acre wildflower meadow is an open and flexible venue and we would be delighted to host your special day here. We want to help you to create a memorable day that reflects you both as a couple.

The Ceremony
​
We are located half a mile from St Mary's Church in Childswickham. Or perhaps you'd prefer to hold a humanist ceremony in the meadow itself; this can be held outside or we have space for you to hire a tipi or marquee to hold it undercover.
​
The Reception
​
The flexibility of our space means that you can mix and match suppliers to create the perfect experience for you and your guests. From a catered formal breakfast inside a luxury tipi, to an outdoor afternoon tea, or perhaps you'd prefer a more informal buffet served inside a marquee.

Entertainment
​
When you book our venue, the space is yours to make the most of. It is open and spacious, perfect for bringing in outdoor games, booking a ceilidh dance or for just relaxing amongst your guests and enjoying the beautiful surroundings.

Decorating and setup
​
When you book your wedding with us, the venue is exclusively yours for the days prior to your special day and we'll be on hand to do as much or as little as needed when it comes to setting up and decorating. Even more importantly we are ready to roll up our sleeves with the clearing up so you can head off into marital bliss.

Accommodation
​
On-site, there are two self catering holiday cottages (subject to availability):

You are most welcome to hire in glamping accommodation, such as a bell tent, shepherd's hut or vintage camper van, for the bridal couple on the night of your wedding.
There are plenty of options within the local area to suit all budgets and we'll be glad to help you with a list of recommendations for your guests.

The Night Before
​
If you would like to arrange a small event for a select group of family or guests ahead of your big day, we are happy to accommodate this the night before your wedding. From drinks and nibbles to an al fresco barbecue, this option is suitable for up to 30 guests.
​
Getting Ready
​
We have space available for a maximum of ten adults to get ready on the morning of your wedding day. If your bridal team or grooms party are larger than this, then we have space available for you to hire in something suitable, such as a large tent or tipi.
​
Dogs
​
We are proudly a dog-friendly venue and all well-behaved pooches are most welcome to attend your day!
​
Suppliers
​
From tipis and bell tents, to caterers, florists, entertainers and photographers, we are more than happy to help prepare for your special day with great recommendations of local suppliers to help source the best for your day. We don't have a preferred list of suppliers, you are free to use who you like to create the perfect day and we will help with managing the logistics directly.

The Nitty Gritty
​
Availability: as an outdoor venue, we take bookings only between May and September.
​
Capacity: our venue is suitable for up to 100 guests.
​
Facilities: this venue is perfect for being at one with nature and, as such, all facilities will need to be hired in. We can help with suppliers where required.
​
Accessibility: The Knotted Pear is a stunning, natural countryside location and you will find a natural unevenness in our grounds. We would like to advise guests to wear suitable footwear.
